This painting depicts designs associated with the claypan site of Watanuma, north-west of the Kintore Community. The painting shows rocky hills and small lakes inside the claypan. A group of women camped at the site gathering the numgilypa or samphire seeds from the small shrub Tecticornia verrucosa. These seeds are ground and mixed with water to a paste which is cooked in the coals to form a type of unleavened bread.
