Cape York Peninsula, far-north Queensland, is famous for its bark paintings and ancestral beings painted on the cave walls.

Torres Strait is made up of more than one hundred islands, their culture has been influenced by  Papua New Guinea  where headdresses and elaborately carved masks formed part of their ceremonial customs.
